Pathways

A calm, collaborative approach

Therapy with me is a collaborative and relational process, shaped around you and what you need at this point in your life. I offer a space that is calm, respectful, and non-judgemental, where you can talk openly and feel heard without pressure to explain yourself “properly” or have everything worked out.

I work at your pace. Some people come to therapy with a clear sense of what they want to explore, while others arrive feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or exhausted. Both are welcome.

Working with ADHD and neurodivergence

A central focus of my practice is supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, across different stages of life.

I understand that neurodivergence can affect emotional regulation, relationships, self-esteem, focus, identity, and the way therapy itself is experienced. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, which means:

sessions are adapted to suit how your mind works

there is space for difference, curiosity, and self-compassion

difficulties are understood within context, not as personal failings

I work with adults, young people, and parents, including those navigating late diagnosis, burnout, and periods of significant transition such as menopause.

Working with trauma

I also work with people who have experienced trauma, including sexual abuse and exploitation. Trauma can impact the body, emotions, memory, and sense of safety, often in ways that are difficult to put into words.

My approach is trauma-informed, meaning therapy is grounded in safety, choice, and trust. There is no expectation to disclose details before you are ready, and we move at a pace that feels manageable for you. Therapy offers a space to make sense of what has happened, reconnect with yourself, and find steadier ways of living in the present.

What sessions are like

Sessions offer a space to pause, reflect, and explore what is happening for you. Some sessions may feel reflective and gentle; others may feel more focused or practical. There is no “right” way to use therapy.

You may notice that therapy helps you to:

understand patterns in your thoughts, feelings, or relationships

develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion

feel more grounded and regulated

make sense of past experiences and their impact

We regularly check in about how the work feels and adjust as needed.

Boundaries, ethics, and safety

I work within clear professional and ethical boundaries, which support safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship. Confidentiality, transparency, and respect are central to my practice.

Where appropriate, I will explain how confidentiality works and any limits to this, so you can make informed choices about what you share.

Taking the first step

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you have been managing on your own for a long time. An initial conversation offers a gentle opportunity to ask questions, talk through what you are looking for, and consider whether working together feels right for you.
